A winding pathway through an atrium filled with flowers, koi fish, and quail allows visitors to walk among butterflies from all over the world. Staff members are available for questions and “show and tell” demonstrations. A continuously running video explains the butterfly life cycle, and exhibits enable visitors to observe eggs, caterpillars, cocoons and chrysalides with information about each species. A gift shop is on the premises. There is a public picnic area and free parking is available.

Each library pass allows 50% discount admission for up to two adults and two children in one vehicle. Children under 2 are admitted free. Admission to the Planetarium and Train are not covered with the library pass. Parking is free.

  • This pass will admit up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free.
  • Your Library pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.
  • When you arrive at the Museum, stop at the Box Office to exchange your library pass and purchase your Exhibit Halls tickets at the discounted rate. If you have any questions or would like to reserve your Exhibit Halls passes in advance to avoid waiting in line the day of your visit, please call 617-723-2500 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily).
  • If you are unable to show your Library confirmation on a phone, you may print out a copy using the link in the confirmation email or request a paper copy from the library.

The New England Aquarium is home to thousands of aquatic animals, from the giant Pacific octopus to Northern fur seals to little blue penguins. They offer a wide range of exhibits, including a shark and ray touch tank and the Giant Ocean Tank, a four-story coral reef featuring hundreds of Caribbean animals. In addition, they have an IMAX theatre and run whale watch boat excursions in partnership with Boston Harbor Cruises from April through November.

Located within Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, NH, the Seacoast Science Center has been providing educational experiences on behalf of New Hampshire State Parks since 1992. The center includes hands-on science exhibits (undersea exploration to marine debris), live animal exhibits which feature creatures that live in the rapidly changing Gulf of Maine ecosystem; and many special events, like “Music-by-the-Sea” concerts and “Sippin' for Seals” (dancing and drinks to support the Marine Mammal rescue Program).

Pass Benefits

This pass admits two adults and up to four children or grandchildren (under age 18) into the Seacoast Science Center at 50% off the cost of regular admission. Pass holder receives a 10% discount at the Nature Store. 

Visitors must pay an entry fee to Odiorne Point State Park (payable when purchasing SSC admission tickets online). You may visit the Park before or after visiting SSC, or anytime during its open hours on the date of your ticket. Admission is limited to 50% capacity (75 people max ), so we recommend that you make advance reservations. Walk-in visits to SSC are subject to availability.  To purchase tickets online visit Member & Pass Holder Admissions, or you may book your visit by calling (603) 436-8043. You will receive an email confirmation and should also present the library discount pass (paper or electronic) to show at the front desk when you check in.

Open 7 days a week, the SEE Science Center in Manchester, NH, is an interactive learning center established to promote the understanding, enjoyment and achievements of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Visitors (ages 3+) encounter hands-on exhibits covering topics such as forces, light, sound electricity, simple machines and more; daily demonstrations; and the LEGO® Millyard Project (Manchester's Amoskeag Millyard as it might have looked circa 1900—including City Hall and the Notre Dame bridge—and all built with commercially-available LEGO bricks). A seasonally scheduled family workshop on weekends may be attended as a drop-in. A science gift shop is on the premises.
