Jane Austen loved gardens. She had a keen interest in flowers and kitchen gardening, and described gardens in her novels and letters. Learn about the flowers and gardens of Jane Austen’s world—from her personal cottage garden to the grand estates that she visited and wove into her novels.
Presenter Jana Milbocker is the principal of Enchanted Gardens, a lecturer and author. She combines horticulture, design, and travel tips to educate, inspire and delight both new and seasoned gardeners. Jana loves to visit gardens and historic sites in the U.S. and abroad, and share her trips through her books, photos and blog. She has written four garden travel guides: The Garden Tourist: 120 Destination Gardens and Nurseries in the Northeast, The Garden Tourist’s New England, The Garden Tourist’s Florida, and The Garden Tourist’s Mid-Atlantic. She also organizes and hosts group garden tours in the US and abroad.
