Little Gems of Germany (Virtual)
Tuesday, July 142:00—3:00 PMZoom

Enjoy this armchair travel to Germany. Start off at Cologne to marvel at its majestic Cathedral and the Museum Ludwig, the home of an amazing collection of modern art. Then off to Munich and the Alte Pinakothek with its treasured Leonardo, Raphaels and Durers. While there, make stops at its famed Hofbräuhaus and the nearby Neuschwanstein Castle. Then on to Dresden to view the Sistine Madonna with those charming little cherubs at its base. Next visit the medieval dream town of Rothenburg with cobblestone street like something out of a Grimm’s Fairytale. Finally, over to Frankfort to the Städel Museum with its Van Eyck, Botticelli and Vermeer. It’s an itinerary that can only be described as Wunderbar!
Led by avid traveler and library lover Mary Maguire. A graduate of Brown University, Maguire worked for 38 years for the New York City Board of Education, where she created programs for teachers on how to integrate the arts into language art, science and social studies curriculums.
