Join us for a lets-enjoy-winter presentation featuring images of snowflakes, frost, frost flowers, ice bubbles, icicles, icebergs, and elegant patterns on stream and lake surfaces. Secrets of how these formations appear and conditions favorable to their creation are discussed. Questions and comments are welcome throughout the presentation.

Presenter John Root is a naturalist and musician. John has used his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and graduate study in Botany to inform his career as a certified organic landscaping professional and science teacher. He gives gardening and nature talks on a variety of topics, leads edible wild plant walks, and is an organizer with the Western Mass Pollinator Network.
