New England Kitchen Gardens: A Garden Club Side Shoots Program (VIRTUAL)

EVERY home, no matter its size, had a kitchen garden in colonial America. What was growing in them? And why? Where did they originate? Were they native? How were they used? These are some of the questions answered in this colorful  presentation. Photos help to identify many of the plants found in colonial gardens so you can choose to grow them too!

Karen Woodbury our presenter for this topic is a past president of the Amherst Garden Club as well as a Master Gardener from the UNH Extension. A resident of Amherst she and her husband tend a huge yard full of flowers, fruit trees and vegetables.
