Tuesday, May 77:00—8:00 PMMain Floor- Main Reading RoomAmherst Town Library14 Main Street, Amherst, NH, 03031
Members of the Souhegan Storytellers group will tell a collection of mostly local stories.
At a minimum, the following storytellers plan to have a story to tell. Other local storytellers may join as well.
- John Sanders began telling stories in 2014 and is now president of the NH Storytelling Alliance. He tells the gleefully light and imaginative stories of the great Italian maestro, Gianni Rodari, as well as tales from his own mischievous imagination.
- Papa Joe Gaudet has been telling stories both statewide and nationwide for decades, both old favorites and new creations.
- Sebastian Lockwood tells the great epics, including Odysseus, Caesar, and Gilgamesh, as well as others a bit more local. His storytelling performances are currently supported by NH Humanities.
- Arlene Magoon, longtime member of Toastmasters International, and a practiced crisis management storyteller, offers humorous renditions of life in NH as a mother, grandmother, and snake whisperer.
- Richard Hart began telling stories of local Amherst history when his daughter was in first grade at Wilkins, and now includes other stories that may or may not have happened in Amherst.
