Herb Gardening, Amherst Garden Club Side Shoots event

This presentation is for those at any level of gardening who are interested inincorporating herbs into a new or established space or in containers. Attendees will learn about the propagation and growing habits of readily available herbs, as well as some which are harder to find. An overview of environmental conditions necessary to grow herbs will also be addressed. The use of culinary herbs is included in thepresentation; medicinal usage of herbs will not be addressed.

Ann LaCroix became a UNH Extension Master Gardener in 2010. As a former biology and environmental science teacher, she enjoys continuing to share her knowledge of growing and caring for plants. Ann is an avid gardener, raises her own organic seedlings, and tends native trees, shrubs and plantings that attract pollinators. When not working in her own gardens, she manages the herb garden at the Boscawen Community Gardens.
